As part of our mission to get more people into British wool socks, we took The British Boot Sock Company to this year's Blenheim Horse Trials.

Held in the grounds of the truly outstanding Blenheim Palace, the horse trials bring together riders from across the world and pitch them against disciplines ranging from Cross Country to Dressage to Show Jumping.

But no event would be complete without the shopping!

Many of the leading equestrian and country fashion brands grace the Avenues and that's exactly where we positioned our 100% British wool boot socks...and Jem the Sheep of course!

It's always amazing to attend events such as Blenheim and Burghley as they give us the opportunity to get instant feedback on the range and favourite colours.

Fortunately the weather stayed in our favour and we were able to get many pairs of the new British wool Wellington boot socks to new homes. The new styles feature colour highlight detailing and and the feedback has been overwhelmingly great.

But there's no better way to demonstrate socks than wearing them! So Scott added some improvisation and combined styles - it definitely got people talking!

During the four day event we met many sheep farmers who told us the industry is still facing significant challenges, but the resurgence in British wool is helping shape a positive future for them. We all need to play our part in choosing sustainable fashion and select natural fibres such as wool that last for seasons rather than weeks.
